Easy Toddler Friendly Shepherd’s Pie

Ingredients:
1. 600 grams beef mince
2. 800 grams potato cut into squares
3. 1 cup of frozen/fresh peas
4. 1.5 cups of carrot cut into small cubes
5. ¼ cup of your preferred milk
6. 25 grams of butter
7. 3 cloves of garlic (crushed/grated)
8. 1 medium-sized onions
9. 1 cup of meat stock
10. ½ cup of finely grated cheese (optional)
11. 4 tablespoons of oil

Preparation:
1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees
2. Put your potato into a pot of boiling water and leave to boil for at least 15 minutes or until
soft
3. Pour 2 tablespoons of oil into your pan and heat it up for a minute
4. Fry the onions, carrot and garlic for about five minutes
5. Put in the minced beef and fry together until the beef is cooked
6. Pour in your stock and allow to cook together for ten minutes
7. Then add your peas and cook for another five minutes
8. At this point, your potato should be soft, so take it out of the pot and drain.
9. Add the butter to your potato and mash it together
10. Then turn your vegetables and beef mince into an oven deep dish and add your mashed
potatoes.
11. Put the dish into the oven and allow it to bake for 30 minutes or until the top is golden
brown.
12. Turn it into a dish and serve your child once it cools down.
